: Radar - F7 - Rev 800 - Rx1
KawaBoga 10-19-2002, 09:05 PM Some interesting number from a radar here in quebec this weekend.
I don't know if all sled were stock or not ..... i was not there. This is what i have been told.
SKIDOO REV 800 107 MPH
YAMAHA RX-1 110 MPH
ARCTIC CAT F7 116 MPH
xc 600 10-19-2002, 09:33 PM Thats how I would have called that race that new cat is going to be hard to beat 140HP in a very light sled. Sweet combination even though I am a POLARIS guy that new Kitty sure looks strong.
Sharkey 10-19-2002, 09:39 PM No Mach Z's there to kick the tar out of all of them?
sledcrazy 10-19-2002, 10:14 PM haha. why are the doo's 800 so slow??
ViperER2 10-19-2002, 10:42 PM that sounds about right...
now take them through 3' mougals and see if the numbers change ??

One thing came to mind when you said that and it's from Budweiser...
"TRUE!"
kennypope 10-20-2002, 12:54 PM How much room was there to wind them out, 1000 ft or more? People tend to mistake radar runs as the way to find out who's quickest. I would like to know if these sleds lined up and ran a drag race 660 ft or 500 ft and see who came out on top? :D
Chubby 10-20-2002, 01:48 PM How far was the track?
Was the F7 a standard or Sno-Pro?
Thanks
z800rotax 10-20-2002, 02:30 PM Or are these just some more numbers someone dreamed up ???
dooittoit 10-20-2002, 02:38 PM MPH means almost squat. Who got to the finish line first??
I'm not a big fan of top speed myself.
phazerhater 10-20-2002, 03:17 PM That had to have been at LEAST a 2000 ft. track to get those speeds from stock sleds!
PANTERAONE 10-20-2002, 04:56 PM was it grass?cause the f7 wont hit 116 on grass,i doubt those numbers
machz69 10-20-2002, 07:52 PM im not shure it will hit 116 period...lol
FreezerBurnt 10-20-2002, 08:02 PM BS
There isn't enough ice anywhere in Canada nor Alaska right at the moment
116 on grass OUCH
This is BS
rotaryvalvesrule 10-20-2002, 09:45 PM KAWABOGA these scams are a cry for help.
louis 10-21-2002, 08:01 AM Unless the source is reliable and you have all the details don't even bother posting results.
Its considered BS! :hallo5:
dpaige 10-21-2002, 08:21 AM ;)
Sid440 10-21-2002, 03:10 PM According to the post on RSS, the F7 was radar'd at 113, and
the 116 was unofficial.
mustardman 10-21-2002, 04:26 PM Seen the f7 on grass this weekend , I was impressed. Beat an MXz800 and then the mxz 800 beat the f7 so. pretty even sleds. F7 is alot lighter to.
Where were the machz?? They would have taken it all
tha smokah 11-06-2002, 02:17 AM id like to see a 700 kitty hit 116 ..thats pure bs if ive ever seen it..lmao nice try :D
REV69 11-13-2002, 09:44 AM The F7 is not lighter the REV 800! We will find out very soon on the F7/Rev controversy. As soon as the snow flies!
F7 = 460 Dry Weight
REV = 454 Dry Weight
:hallo1:
And I think the REV gets more style points! :inlove:
cooley 11-13-2002, 06:28 PM maybe he meant to say 1.......16miles per hour for the f7 kitty cat :D :0: :p ;) ??? :) :(
kingsmack 11-13-2002, 07:21 PM Someone else posted different and said that the rev 800 beat the f7 at 1000 ft
Notice how f7 fans always mention how muchfaster the f7 is over the rev in drag and never mention
how it would get spanked on regular bumpy trail.
if you buy a sled just to drive 500' drags then that is pretty lame.IMHO
Machzzzz1 11-13-2002, 07:27 PM You cant judge which sled is faster buy watching professinals drag race. Its like watching blair morgen win on his rev and saying that the rev is the fastest sled in snowcross.
No one mentions that Blair is a amazing driver backed up with a multimillion doller team and multi billion dollar corparation, and the guy racing behind him is just sponcerd by amsoil or woodys studs.
You have to go and watch the local drags where people that have been riding all day take a run against someone else. Or personal races with friends. These are the real world results of whats faster.
The moment you touch somthing on the sled that wasnt put there by the manufactor you are no longer a REV or Mach or what ever, you are now your own creation that has no buissness compairing to other sleds.
Personnaly im not a big fan of drag races. Im more into driving in the trails. When i hit a long straite of rail road or lake and pin it will the guy behind me be able to hold, pass, or fad away. Thats what im about and thats why I ride a Mach.
folgers 11-13-2002, 07:29 PM those #s are not stock for sure and not a 500 foot track lanny benoint has the 500 foot world record a think in the 120s? this year
sledcrazy 11-13-2002, 07:30 PM REV
kingsmack 11-13-2002, 07:55 PM I am with mach zzz.I am into real world trail riding
Drags can get real boring real fast.
All the fun is in the jumps and cornering
any sissy can get on it in a stright line on flat surface!!!!!!!!!!!
doopilot 11-13-2002, 09:03 PM kingsmack, be careful of who and what you're calling a "sissy". I don't think GLH, Cudney, Rev it 800X, myself, etc. would consider our form of the sport in those terms. Snow Cross has several shortcomings of its own. Go bash a tree hugger instead of us.
kingsmack 11-13-2002, 10:55 PM First off,
I am not bashing anyone,I didn't mention anyones name.
Secondly,Don't tell me to be careful!
Last but not least, apologize, if in my honest *opinion* Key word here!
Think that drag is for sissy's.It just doesnt take alot of skill and frankly,I think some of you guys go overboard with the (my sled is faster then your sled).Reminds me back in the day when children would say... look at my new sneakers i can run faster than you lol.If you think drag is great, wonderful, thats your opinion! If you think trail riding or snocross is for sissy's, Who cares, it's just you opinion! Opinions are like A-Holes everyone's got one....
99SRX700 11-13-2002, 10:59 PM I am with Mach. I love trail riding. Drag racing only tells you so much about a machine. It says nothing about handling or reliability. As far as race results go, it all depends on what sled is getting the most support. I know for a fact that ski-doo pushes racing more than any other manufacturer, yamaha is the exact opposite and polaris and arctic cat are in the middle. From what I hear though, arctic cat is trying to catch up to ski-doo. It is the team that makes a sled win races and the best tuners are going to be working for ski-doo because thats where the support is. I think that we are going to see a lot of support from cat now because they are really pushing the F7 and we might see some impressive results because of this. The point I am trying to make is that it won't be because the F7 is fast, it will be because there will be a lot of support from arctic cat for teams that are running the F7.
Mighty RX-1 11-13-2002, 11:04 PM And this guy didn't see it for himself :sly:
I posted something some time back about something I heard and took all kind of Sh*t
kennypope 11-13-2002, 11:07 PM this topic is gettin pretty heated, all I'm gonna say is I like both, and it's hard not to get caught up in the draggin thing, we like to call it the disease around here. You line up against someone you think you can beat and you loose, you get pissed off. But for the most part I trail ride and enjoy it and am good at it. SWRules
ZRT Sled Head 11-14-2002, 02:21 AM A-MEN I am with the pope SWRules
