My snowmobile (1990 Yamaha Phazer II) appears to lag... The best way I can describe it is that when you punch it, it seems to take a little time to wind up and get moving.

I don't know if this is an engine issue, but I guess what I am wondering is:
What happens when you adjust the spring settings in the secondary clutch? What does it effect?

more tension on spring increases rpms for any given speed and top end final rpm, less= lower rpms
