I opened my garage the other day only to see an oil puddle under my 97 MXZ 440LC. It looks like I will be changing the Base Gasket. Doesany one have any tips on the repair?

You need to check a little further and see where the oil came from. BTW doen't try to start it like that as the oil will transfer to the top and may bend the rod (hydrolock). It can come from the RV shaft seal or a bad check valve inthe oil injection lines. They have a small ball check that leaks once in a while. It's in the brass fitting in the line. If the oil line going to the RV shaft is milky looking that seal is bad, coolant goes in the RV gear chamber. The best thing is to pressure check the RV chamber.
