: Spark Plug Selection For 98 Formula 583 bluebyyou 10-21-2002, 07:29 AM What would be the best plug for my wifes 98 Formula 583. Currently use BR9ES but se fouls them all the time. Her riding style is very laid back (slow) and her sled never sees the top RPM's. If I ride it the plugs never foul. Should I switch to a hotter plug? BR8ES? Thanks Rocketman 10-21-2002, 09:52 AM the stock plug is the BR9ES. You might want to look at your carb settings instead. If you are constantly fouling plugs it may be running too rich. If you lean your carbs out a bit you will likely stop fouling plugs and fuel mileage will increase as well.
