Just curious. Why would a similar sized liquid cooled make more power that the same size engine if it was fan cooled? Why the big difference in power? It's the same cc's. Thanx, Joe......

The liquid cooled sled can be stressed and tuned to higher performance because the cooling system can maintain a more constant temperature throughout the engine, cylinder heads can be cooled more extensively than is possible with a fan that simply passes air across a cooling fin to reduce temps.

That's why you can notice a significant decrease in performance in a fan cooled engine when the outside temp rises above 0 Degrees celsius.

I am sure someone can explain it in a better way but that is basically the gist of it.

:withstupid: Basicly the liquids are just able to be tweaked more from the factory. So yes they are the same cc, but it's like a stock sled running against dialed in and clutched sled of the same cc, so to speak...
