Is it true about the warrenty being voided if you do not run BR9ECS? I do not know much about these plugs except they are $45.00 a box :( . I also was told that they are gapped at three places from the factory to get rid of the hot spot that is on the bend of the "normal" plugs. If this is not the right information or if some one has more info. Please tell me.

All I know is the owners manual says not to gap them and I hear that the ecs rating is so the electronic interference dosen't mess with the DPM modual. Stay with the ecs plugs imo. Jack

they are expensive but rather have a plug to buy then a whole new piston, or engine or w/e. actually I was told by my dealer to run the BR9ES. he said NOTHING about the ECS. my sled is a 2001 mxz 600 w/o dpm.

I think the ecs are specificaly for the dpm machines otherwise I'd just use the es plugs

ECS's are a anti-detonation plug. they were first used by Yamaha in the SRX.

i have used the champion power sprot plugs in my 02 800 gade. the throttle response seems to be better than the ecs.
have not had any problems with them. i also indexed them in the heads
