Hi, I have a 1982 TXL Model Indy with a 340 LC engine and i was wondering if it would hurt to take the canister off the exhaust ive already done it and i seem to get alot more power out of the machine but i was told by someone that it could distroy my bottom end is that true?

Some back pressure is required for proper reliable operation.
