indy 400 wont start
cleaned carbs
checked filter in tank
got fuel to carbs
with starting fluid it will start for 20 secends then die
but when we pull the plugs we notice that there's like water on the plugs
what could that be ...what do we do next
is there any way to check to see if it's a head gasket

checked compression it was 120 both removed muffler no luck draind block
fuel tank full checked fuel for water no sign of it in fuel
took every thing i would take off carb an cleaned them
:Dgot it going thanks to people on the board
we found out there was water in the tank so removed it an replaced all fuel lines then put tank back in place filled it up crancked it a few times the turned
key on an gave it a pull it started an ran good

I would start by checking the compression with a compression gauge. ???
Hopefully it's nothing to major.

You didn't mention checking the fuel in the tank, is it full of water?

Did you remove the pilots to clean them?
It seems most likely you have a fuel problem.

Take a new set of plugs and check to see if spark is good. If it is, return to the fuel problem.

I agree I would check pilots. then check tank for water or fuel line blockage.

I agree with the fuel problem, check to see if you have a sticky float or choke.

Try taking the muffler off and see if it will start.
I've had mice plug them up and its hard to figure out
why they won't start if theres compresion, spark and gas.
