Hello,
About two weeks ago, my friend and I successfully started a 1998 Tundra II R which had been sitting for about a year. Unfortunately, my friend thought that it needed a 2 Stroke mixture so we mixed some 2 Stroke oil and gas and put it in the tank. Despite this mistake, the rig started! We took it out for about an hour and it ran fine.
Last weekend, I found that I could not start it. After consulting the user manual, I realized that we should not have put in 2 stroke oil, but instead, we should have topped up the injection oil. I put fresh gasoline in the tank, added injection oil, and it still would not start. I put in a new spark plug and tested the spark. It was fine. Still the rig did not start. I'm assuming that adding the 2 stroke oil gummed something up, maybe clogging the fuel line. Any tips on getting it going?
Many thanks,
Edward
