Solid steel will insure that the suspension will last as long as the engine (and a whole lot longer than the rider.) Total cost per mile, including gas, if your body lasts long enough to withstand the pounding will be $0.23 per mile based on a $11,729 base sticker price. The machine is expected to reach a top speed of 37 mph in 4.3 minutes (on a good surface). Reverse will be optional on the 723 lb (estimated dry weight) machine. (That weight, however, includes heavy duty winches front and rear in case the rig ever gets stuck, and it will.) To keep the running weight down, the fuel tank will be minimized at 4.5 gallons which will still give it a range of up to 155 miles. Sales will likely be brisk, due in part to the 5 year/10,000 mile powertrain warranty. Additionally, no service will be required for the first three years. Color options for the Honda will include "Yellowstone platinum." A back brace will be part of the standard equipment.

I'm sure Honda has sleds produced. They're just not marketing them. I don't think now is the time to introduce a new snowmobile company, as the sport of snowmobiling is slowly dying due to the fact that the winters are getting considerably shorter.
