Pulled the plug and primed machine by pouring gas into the cylinder. It starts but will not stay running? Any thoughts? CORY9 03-10-2007, 09:23 PM Check and make sure the pulse line on the fuel pump is not loose or split. Crack the fuel cap as well and listen for a hissing indicating a plugged vent. Is it very cold? Could have a bit of moisture in the fuel and the fuel pump could be froze up. Just pour hot water over it. Nothing more required if it's ice causing the problem. kid rocker 04-09-2007, 07:16 AM How many miles on the sled? I had a 700 twin that would not start because of low compression. There was not enough vacuum from the case to move fuel through the fuel pump. The 800 twin does have ring problems. I would check your compression, this would be my guess if the the compression is too low. | ||
