HAWK600 10-23-2002, 02:45 PM I want to drop my rear skid out to do some maintenance but have never done this before. Is there any special order I need to do things in or is it just a matter of loosening track tension and removing the four bolts holding the skid to the tunnel? To take out I just loosen the track and remove the 4 bolts. jdsmi 10-23-2002, 03:31 PM It helps to compress the suspension - espesially when putting it back in. I've used tie-down straps to do this and seems to work. It's also a good idea to mark the position of your tensioners so you can get back to where you started without much trouble.
