I want to drop my rear skid out to do some maintenance but have never done this before. Is there any special order I need to do things in or is it just a matter of loosening track tension and removing the four bolts holding the skid to the tunnel? Don't want those big springs in there shooting out at me :hallo4:

Thanks

I take the springs loose when I put mine back in. To take out I just loosen the track and remove the 4 bolts.

It helps to compress the suspension - espesially when putting it back in.
I've used tie-down straps to do this and seems to work.
It's also a good idea to mark the position of your tensioners so you can get back to where you started without much trouble. Another set of hands never hurts either.

There was a post in the general area talking about this a couple months ago...

Had a buddy help me once, ONCE. He let go of the spring and got my leg, what a gash.
