Last week my kid goes to a bike show in Lakeland, FL and rear ends someone with my car. I guess that is what I get for being a nice guy. Thank goodness no one was hurt except the big Buick. While on vacation to Mackinaw Island last September we stopped in Dayton, OH for the night only to have the Big Buick stolened from the hotel. Of course we had left everything in the car except an overnight bag and the dogs. We got the car back 4 days later and I flew up to drive it home. They stole everything in the car, popped the truck, and ripped apart the steering column which, I had repaired.
The Big Buick is in the shop for repairs and should get it back in a few days. The body shop says he will get the parts from a man who will drop off another Roadmaster so he can pick off the parts he needs. Once done the other Roadmaster will be picked back up and sent to another shop where the drive train will be removed. Kind of cool and will save me quite abit of money. All in all about $2000 to fix compared to the $5800 the dealership wants. "I'll take it!"
