While at the Harley dealership yesterday I was getting vey excited about the 2007 Harley Electra Glide Classic in black and red pearl and actually have the wife talked into letting me get a new one. We have a 2004 Electra Glide but I have over 6 grand in chrome invested in it so it is too pretty to even let get dirty, too much time to clean.
We shall see.

PS: Can't forget about a new snowmobile (model yet to be determined) for the 2007/2008 winter season.

i kinda agree with "time"

Honda builds a more reliable bike.

The Harley fad isn't as strong as it was 3-5 years ago.

Personally, I would still by a Harley, but thats because of the name. No other reason.

I think the 1800 honda, looks nicer then any stock harley, but it still dosn't have the bad boy image of the Harleys.

I've had the Jap bikes and I know they are very reliable machines. A friend of mine sold his 3-wheel Harley and purchased a 3-wheel Honda and the first time he filled it up he put diesel in it. I can honestly tell you, diesel does not work in a Honda. He had to trailer it home, drain all the fuel, pull the plugs, and after about an hours worth of work got it running. It spat black crap out of the pipes for a day and has since recovered 100%. We did not notify the dealership for obvious reasons.

I guess that'll teach you to waste so much money on chrome. You gotta wonder what the point is.

The japanese cruisers are becoming very cool. The Kawi Mean Streak is really cool, as is the Yamaha Warrior. Lots of good choices out there. The only bad thing about them getting more popular is that they are geting almost as stupidly expensive as a Harley.

The Victory is looking pretty good these days too. Personally I've never understood what people like about Harley so much.

its ironic that in your sig line you have a pic of yourself standing on the seat of a sled buried under water . but question peoples decision making process in purchasing a brand of motorcycle :whistling:

You're right, we all make mistakes, though I'm glad my mistake didn't cost me $30,000.

I tried out a new V-Rod (just to be different). I liked it ! Fun to drive and you don't see too many. Does everything I like in a bike...not a cruiser, not a crotch rocket. Just a great week ender. Most of my contemporaries drive HD cruisers or chopped HDs so I try not to be main stream. Saturday I'm going to try a new Ducati Monster for the day. Oh Boy Oh Boy Oh Boy Doc needs a new toy.

I respect all bike types and brands and as you can see my son has the Suzuki next to mine, but I love the Harleys. You can never go wrong with one of them. I've enjoyed reading the posts and got a real kick out of the Honda and fat woman one the most.

Simon the ducati monster is a great machine. I love the v-rod, however I do not like the forward controls on the majority of them. give me one that has the mid mounted controls. as far as making a $30,000 mistake I really have never ridden a $30,000 bike ever. most expensive bike I have ridden is my uncles ultra with an out the door price, taxes and all $21,678.
