Well, I did it. Our old PC, although still not totally done, was looking for it's 3rd new HD, so I thought it prudent to start exploring my options. Aside from getting used to a few things that are very different about Macs, it's rock solid, alnd I'm liking the experience.
Last week I redid my website with Mac software and got decent results. BTW, if any of my customers want to be included in the "he said she said" section, just drop me a line.
The things I have liked best so far include .... no virus protection needed, and no nagging reminders to update virus definitions and pay more for software .... when you need to delete a program you don't have to go through the big routine like on a PC - just go and delete the file and you're done!! ... the iMac is really quiet ...
Cheers

not tryin to start trouble but thats funny......did you ever wonder WHY it went through 3 drives????? its because of 3 things you stated after........best so far include....couple o key programs would of kept that from happening....like updateing and virus protection......not to mention a fix with SYSTEM MECHANIC 7.0 every 6 months......it woulda scan disc'ed, check disc'ed, repair hard drive, you really should reconsider that statement unless you look forward to buying 3 hard drives on the MAC also.....and then buying another puter next year

That's funny ....
norton antivirus ... check
norton internet sercurity .... check
scan disk ... check
etc.... etc .... etc...... did all of the above ... any more suggestions???? I spend a fortune on all this crap, and nobody can tell me that it is going to prevent the puter from dying one day ... my oldest computer in the house is from 1985 and has been upgraded so many times it hurts ....
what's really funny is that microsoft never stops putting out software that doesn't work, and the public just keeps buying it and paying for the constant fixes and patches .... and everytime ms throws a software update in your lap, you'll have some other program that suddenly isn't compativle any more ...
been doing windows since 3.0 ... now it's time for a change, thanks ... and, no, I don't think I'll re-consider, thanks ...

I'd try Mac if only they'd put two buttons on the mouse. Until then, I'll stick to PC.

Its just a matter of time before the virus people start writing viruses for Mac. Ive heard rumors that PC people are writing them just out of spite. Plus they want the popularity of writing the virus that crashes all the Mac computers.
