My wife and I went to the Hip concert in Indianapolis last night at the Vogue. It's a smaller venue and we got there early enough to get in the front row. The opening band was Wintersleep and they were awesome! If you can find one of their CD's, I recommend picking it up. As for the Hip....Phenomenal!!!!!! Most songs were from the new CD, World Container, but they picked some great older songs. Gordon Downie was a blur of motion the entire show. Great energy from the band, and the whole crowd was into the show. One of the top three concerts I've been to. One of the guys standing next to us took some amazing pics, he's supposed to send them to me, when I get them I'll post 'em. I ended up with one of the set lists, and we got to meet Wintersleep (great guys) and I met Paul Langlois and got my pic with him. One of those nights that will stay in the memory banks for a very long time.

The Hip played down in Indy? I've never heard of them on the radio south of the border.

When I was down south in April, I heard 3 Days Grace (2 of the guys are from Norwood Ontario) in Atlanta. Passing thru Wilmington NC, I heard Avril Lavigne on the radio.

I've never heard them on the radio in the States, either. A friend of mine got me into them when Fully Completely came out, and I've been a huge fan ever since. They played in Fort Wayne in 2000, which was pretty amazing, and I saw them in Cincinnati in '98. Both times it seemed like there were more fans from Canada than the States....lol
