I snow checked a switchback dragon and I began to wonder if the new cleanfire motors needed a battery or not? I didn't see anything on the polaris web site ,but I thought I read that it was a batteryless efi. Anybody know for sure?

There's a capaciter built in to the wire harness that kinda acts like a battery. It's charged the first time you pull the starter through, has enough power from that to fire the injection on the second pull.

The fuel system is likely working on the second pull, but you're right. It may not start on the second pull.
