Thanks, we are very proud of our new home (and exhausted). we are rushing to get the yards prepped for sod next week. And yes it is a fully finished basement with spare bedroom and your own private 3 piece bathroom.

Give my regards to your ladies.

Looks awesome Steve.

You'll soon see that all that hard work was worth it.
I'm glad your dream is taking shape.

A word of advice. Don't lay the sod.
Once you do, you'll be cutting grass way too often.
Just tell your wife and the neighbours that the sod company is working on it but they had an extreme sod shortage due to the lack of snow this year and it all died off during the winter since it didn't have the protective snow blanket. You should be able to pull that off at least until October and by then it'll be too late until next spring.

Are you going to be riding next season? Did you buy another sled?

Unfortunately I will be cutting grass sooner rather than later. We ended up with a great deal on sod so It is to be delivered mid next week so i have only a few days to finish up grooming the yard before topsoil shows up. I haven't bought another sled yet......

Again, Congratulations !

Steve, how's the trail access? I promise I won't jinx you next winter about the wind blowing the snow away.

Rottie

I'm a 1/3 mile ride to the trail and yea it was a pretty brutually short season this year.

Yea had to do it eh?

I told you and I hate to say I told you so, but here goes anyways.

I TOLD YOU SO. lol

Looks great Rottie.

I see by the lines that you've had to cut the grass already.

Now just envision it with 4 to 5 feet of snow and 8 foot high snowbanks and you've got the perfect Dream Home.

Wow it looks like you're right in town now, can you still ride away from the house?
Nice grass!

Yes we can still ride from the house. The trail is 1/3 of a mile from my driveway. Its a great area. The oldest home on the street is 5 years and there are some VERY nice homes down from us.

I'm really looking forward to the next visit (and the chilli) I'd show you a pic of mine but as of yesterday it's basically a clearing in the woods .... not much to show yet.

Congrats again..

Great looking house Rottie. How is the unpacking going? Is all of the painting done yet? The yard is looking good and you can now plant some flowers/shrubs.

We have been busy this past month as we too have moved into a newer house. I have looked in each box but have yet to empty them all. Carpet is being laid today, this will allow us to get our bedroom organized and the 'extra room' too.

Take Care and enjoy your new surroundings, hope to make it up to NL next season.

John.

The house was completely finished for us when we moved in. Both the main floor and basement are completely finished including all paint, carpet/hardwood, trim etc. all we had to to was lights and blinds. The house is mostly unpacked, my project now is to finish the inside of the garage and continue with the grass in the back. Im sure glad the move is over...packing and unpacking drives me nuts..

enjoy your new dwelling as well.

But what a nice clearing it is.
Here you go Mike. Sorry I took so long but I've had computer issues again.
All resolved now.

You've got a great spot there.
The last one shows my bedroom while staying at Mike and Sue Anne's.
He was pretty quick to agree to allowing me to have it in the winter as well. LOL
Said something about scaring the bears away. Not sure what he meant by that.

I'm thinking that if AndyDragon comes over for an overnighter, he'll be sleeping there as well.

Those pics are from Markham  . I thought most front lawns up north had a broken down half ton, a motorless Olympique & a boat & trailer parked on gravel.

Now the 1st snow you get, you'll be tearing around chewing up the lawn & all that work will be for naught. Are the neighbours sledders?

Did you get the garage wired? Mine is 16 x 24 & it's got 5 4 foot double flourescent fixtures & the walls are white. Folks think it's too bright, but you never are working in shadows.

Rottie

My garage is finished now except I havent put the garage door openers on yet. Its all insulated, R21 walls, R30+ attic. I painted everything white as well and have 5 4ft double florescent lights.

p.s. my boat/trailer is nestled nicely in my garage where it belongs
