My wife and I traveled to Grove City, OH last weekend and stumbled across this pair of Cadillacs sitting in the garage of the Smith Funeral Home in Lancaster, OH. To the average person these cars may not get your heart beating but, mine races even looking at the pictures. This is a very rare pair of cars.

I Must say they don't get my heart pumping with excitement but they would be good for Holloween.

beauties! I would snatch those up in a second!
Just out of curiosity, why would a hearse need a flashing light on top? They are generally not in a hurry to get where they are going, are they?

This hearse is called a combination hearse. In the old days the hearse was also used as an ambulance. In the back it would hold the first aid supplies and oxygen. On the right side the seat in the rear would fold up for the attendant. I know, weird but that was the way it was.
Now days you may see a hearse with the light but it is either yellow or purple and it's there because the funeral director is using it as the lead car for the procession to the cemetery therefore eliminating the lead car.
