Hey how the hell are ya all doing?I got a 2005 switchback and it has the perc reverse on it.The problem is when i shift into forward there is an awful bang or clunk when the clutch rotates from the slack or reverse position to engage in forward motion.I have checked my chain case and the chain tension is correct so it cant be that.Come to think of it even when im coasting down the trail and then nail it the sound is present. Can any one help me out?thanks

did you check the belt to see its tension and how high or low it sits in the secondary?

The clunk is more than likely coming from the secondary, is a common observation coming from a newbie to the perk system. The secondary rollers move in a large slot in the helix, are moving from one side of the slot to the other, clunking as they do. Take a look around, check the chain tension, don't worry if you don't find anything.

you may have the wrong helix in your sec. or its not a roller.
