well it was official today. I went to work today for an american auto company again. I could not tell a differance, but they told me it was "the new chrysler". I was handed a hat pin with the old and famous pentastar today, yes its back. we dropped the Daimler name and were glad too.

I agree with your sentiments Barry but I'm concerned about demoting Tom Lasorda whom I know personally as he was the President of our plant when we first started production. He'd walk down the line and know every worker on a first name basis and the fact that we had our name embroidered on our shirts wouldn't impress anyone but he could run into you out of work anywhere and he still remembered your name and what you talked about the last few times. He's a people person with a job to do. Knows his stuff.
He grew up in a strong union setting with his Dad being the former president of a union local and his late brother a plant chair of one of the plants in Windsor.

So whom did they put in the #1 seat? The former lead dog at Home Depot that just got paid a huge fortune for resigning. Go figure.

Good luck and we all hope your employer will live and prosper.
That way you and your Brothers and Sisters will too.

Jeff

Didn't he leave Home Depot because of declining sale figures for the last three years? He was kind of forced to resign. Well, that really sucks if he is the lead guy. It goes to prove the rich stay rich, even if they are a failures. Look at Pres Bush. He was a failure in the oil industry so he tried politics....still a failure. LOL!!!How many people have left him now since taking the oval office? LOL!!!

Whats this new guy know about auto's? What's his game plan?

Hey back in the 90s GM hired some exec from Proctor & Gamble. I don't know if he knew much about the auto industry, but he was an expert on tooth paste  .
