I own a 2002 MXZ 600 Trail. I am considering rising the handle bars 3" or more. Has anyone done this? Any issues and things I should think about before going ahead? Will I need to run new cables?

There is a topic in the General Forum if your in a hurry to find out. Just doo a search. I added powermadds to my doo. Just check cable length and brake line and wiring.

I had 2" riser on my 02 mxz there were no problems, no extensions needed. I just installed a 5" riser and I had to get a longer brake hose( Xteam) a throttle cable extension(sport tec)and cut and splice all the wiring to the bars. A pain doing the cut and splice! It turned out neat, and it works! hope this helps.

I added a 3" riser to my 01 mxz w/ no mods done to any wires. But it is STRETCHED, you cant go anymore then 3" w/o getting longer cables.
