Hopefully next season for me  . The wife made me choose between a new truck or a new sled and I went with the truck. :) The downside now is that I have to rationalize somehow the fact that the sled I really want will probably list for over $10,000

Hope to get to Michagan this year, talking with wife what trips this year. You could make a road trip out our way, have spare bedroom, and ride right out of house. Dosen't get any cheaper then that. You would like our trails on fresh snows I have to break trails most times. Here's a little tease!!!

I have the same sled coming this fall.

Think I will notice a difference compared to my '87 El Tigre? :lmao:

I didn't have enough saved up in time to order an X package - wife insisted that I have cash in hand before committing to it. Can't complain though - she did let me get it! :)

When did your dealer say yours would be in? I was told sometime between late September to mid October.

As with all the manufacturors I think people are getting a little wary of buying the first year models. All though its not like your buying a first year Fusion, right

That's one of the reasons I went with the 600 SDI - I am figuring the new chassis will be less problematic than a new engine. Didn't want to get a new engine AND a new chassis design in the same sled!

I also figured I didn't need the extra power. I rode a friend's '06 Attak for a couple of days - more power than I needed for the trails we were on. It will be fun to go head-to-head with him this year though. He has 30 HP on me and I have 130 lbs on him (we both weigh about the same). He has an '08 Nytro MTX coming in this fall. I foresee a lot of sled-swapping this winter. :D

Like alot of folks I take a wait and see attitude, always err on the side of caution. That said, the thought of a 399lb sled with my 500SS engine excites the hell outa me!

One thing Cory9 always does is his homework........He checks and double checks!

On a side not Cory9......I"m going to see this XP in action this winter and possibly even ride one. I hope you get the opportunity as well.

Thanks! I am pretty pumped up about it - my first new sled purchase. They have come a long ways from the first old '69 Olympique 12/3 I started out on!

Now we just need a good snow year this winter! Anyone know the steps to the ancient Indian snow-dance? If we don't get some snow by mid-Jan I am going to start driving north and won't stop until I find me some snow or run out of road! Hmmmm - maybe I better get a passport just to be on the safe side... :)

i was at haydays and was looking at one and was not overly impresses. i think they just tryed to do to much in one year and its going to have durability problems. its just got a lot of thin aluminium and many places were it need a little more reenforments. take this to example. the new 600 mod snocross racer is 440lb. that 5 pound more then last years regular rev 600 mod and 40 pound more then the TNT with also has a 600 in it. if you add the the normal stuff like racing clicker shocks, twin pipes and racing odds and ends you still come up with about 10 to 15lbs. in reenforments weight. i hope they are as stong as they say they are or skidoo is going to have a problem on their hands. i do like the new renegade X alot though

Is the plastic still cheesy looking as what was on the sleds that were on tour in the spring? What's up w/ the gray plastic on a yellow sled? It should've been yellow or black.

How about a bit of shine or gloss on it as well? :cussing:
