Just wondering if anybody has tried one
they claim a 3/5hp increase.

I was going to order one but the company I called has quit selling them because in wot situations for long periods of time they can cause detonation leading to piston failure.

i also heard that. any long WOT runs will burn it up.

I have had one on for 2 years with no problems, even at WOT for long runs. '01 MXZ 800

The myth about burn down with an exhaust restricter is just that, we have been restricting the exhaust on the 700's since 2000 and the 800's since 2001 and have sold hundreds of them with no problems, the biggest problem are the guys who say they are a problem and by the way the new 800REV comes with a restricted exhaust compared to the mxz 8 and also Ski Doo has restricted it 1mm more than we have done with all of them in the past. -- Bill

What real world horsepower gains have you seen with them, and where in the power curve?

Also, how much $$?

I too am curious about exhaust restrictors...how exactly do they work, and are they worth it?

I'm also curious, does the company have a web site?
I will try a search on Google.com.

just get a new dynoport pipe.

If you decrased the size of the exaust port, wouldn't you also need a different pipe to compensate for the different resonance? Or are these restrictors some how tuned to the stock pipes spec?

there designed to run on the stock pipe.
