What aftermarket skis do you think would be most advantageous on the new 2008 Yamaha FX Nytro (standard)?

I will be riding trails and will also be riding through deep powder. I have done a little research on the Simmons Gen II skis and the Powder Pro skis too.

What do you think would be the advantages of both on and off the trail?

Also, if you can think of other options, please give me some thoughts.

Thanks,
Will

I would ride it first . Then determine what it does . Make a list on the snow conditions those days and how it did. The rags do good write ups on all kinds of skis and see which one sounds like the one you need.

No sled rides the same as the other and neither do people. What works good on the rev may mot have the same effect on the nytro.

Stock skis might be good enough .

Take a look at the new slydog skis. They do have a 7" version for the powder and should work good with the nytro. We have some coming in this week to take a a look at.

I say go the Slydog route. They are an easier turning ski than the Powder Pros and most likely the Gen IIs, which I feel is a must with these rider forward sleds, and picking up the wider Powderhounds will help with flotation.

I don't know much about the 10 inch wide Gen II skis from Simmons, but they look like snowboards. I wonder how well they would work on the trails.
