Last winter the starter on my 600 Touring 2000 started to have difficulties engaging. When I look at the drive pinion as it tries to engage with the flywheel it almost looks like it needs lubrication on the starter shaft. It appears to be sticking. Do I lubricate trhe starter drive and if yes what kind of lubricant ?May be there is maintenance that has to be done on this

Had the same problem, gave it a shot of LPS and the problen went away. Liquid Wrench
