: Let's See Your Top Hunting Trophy!
BAT-DooBee 10-23-2007, 08:24 PM Hunting season is either here or coming to a state near you soon! Let's see pics of your best trophy and the story that goes along with it!
Here's mine - a beautiful PA whitetail!
It was a cold snowy morning sitting in my ground blind when I heard the deer coming. I looked up to see 3 bucks!! This one was in the lead and I was so excited that I did not give the others a glance before I brought him down with my 30-06.
The best part was when Rev-Head called me on the 2 way and asked if I got it. I told him I did, and he asked how big it was. I told bim that I could only see 4 points. He assumed I shot an illegal deer (must have 6 points or more). I did not tell him that the other side ofg the antlers were laying in the deep snow and could not see them! :lmao: Boy was he suprised
when he came over to take a look!
Here's my trophy...

snow prowler 10-23-2007, 08:53 PM It's not as nice as yours. But it's the nicest one that I have gotten so far.
cooley 10-24-2007, 06:17 AM first deer i ever shot was an 18 point when i was 17 years old, shot him on the run from behind (went through the back of his head and out his nose) i never shot anything past a 6 pointer after that. i will take a pic of the head when i get home from work.
oh yeah hunting season for guns start here this friday, i cant wait
crnsuperduty 10-24-2007, 07:05 AM I shot this one November 15, 2005. I was watching the other direction. He snuck right up behind me to within 40 yards. I had about 30 seconds from when I saw him, until I shot him. He ran about 80 yards and crashed. I would love to shoot one this big with my bow now.
Rev-Head 10-24-2007, 06:08 PM Here's mine on the left the small one, best I ever got! The one on the right is Bat-DooBee's She has bragging rights :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: I was still hunting a ridge late afternoon
when I came across a herd of deer feeding below. I could see about nine doe but one deer off to the side was behind some laurel. All the does were moving around and feeding but the one behind laurel wasn't moving, he just stood there. I looked around and only had one shooting lane to take a shot. After a long wait he took off and I saw he was a buck, it was a point and shoot. And I got him :D Then I got out to the road with him to get picked up by Barb, that' another story :cussing:

someone11 10-24-2007, 06:30 PM why all these deer pictures. Any turkey hunters out there?
Not much of a story behind this one. First time turkey hunting in luther MI. Got up around 6:00 and head out at 6:30 with my uncle. The house is in the middle of the woods, so thats why we got up so late. We were calling listening for a gobble for about and hour. Finally we heard one and set up close to it. After some good calling from my uncle he called it right to use about an hour later. There was a tree to my left so i didnt see the turkey coming but he said to be ready. There were 2 gobblers, the first one came out and was the biggest. All of a sudden i seen the turkey and aksed can I shoot. He said yeah so i shot and it was dead on. About 15 yards away. It was my first kill with my new remington 870 express 12 ga. Had extra full choke. Filled my tag the first day of hunting after about 2 hours. This was this year spring. Turkey weighed about 20 pounds and had a 9 inch beard. Pretty good for first turkey.

That's a very nice one. As they say...a buck is a buck - size does not matter!
docrmk 10-24-2007, 07:24 PM How about dogs? do they count ..........they have a bounty on em here......
someone11 10-24-2007, 07:26 PM ill scan my other deer pics tommorow. And maybe my duck ones. My first 2 deer were both button bucks. Shot with my grandpa's 12 ga ithaca (passed down). Like i said ill get pics tommorow with a full story. You guys are lucky in the northern part of michigan. You can use a rifle. In the lower part where i live you can only use a shotgun during gun season. And there is a speacial season for muzzle loading. When does the season start for everyone? I know mine is from Nov. 15-30 (gun season for MI) I dont like to bow hunt. Too many things can go wrong.
toocheaptosmoke 10-24-2007, 07:30 PM Last fall, in Forest county. My 3rd buck, definitely the biggest. Can't believe I got him on public land, in the game lands.

snow4mydooplz 10-25-2007, 05:53 AM My father in law just shot a deer with his bow last night. Rick had to head over to Fenton to help drag it out of the woods. Don't have any pics but it was not the biggest he's got by any stretch. He has a family room full of trophy's so I will have to get you a pic of that.
Personally, I could never shoot a deer or anything else but we do get lot's of the meat from all the deer he get's.
So, because I could never shoot one I'm going to post this pic so you can all see.....LOL LOL
Na Na Na Na boo boo.........this deer out smarted you !

someone11 11-18-2007, 06:50 PM my dad got one in sister lakes friday night, 6 point with an antler broke off. I went sat. morning, didnt see any but heard 2. Also went tonight, seen 2, they never came out of the woods to get a good enough shot. One was either a small buck or small doe, not shootable. The other one was big bodied, couldnt tell wether it was a buck or doe. Gonna go again thanksgiving weekend, will see how that goes.

I see them in Krogers but they have a plastic coat on them......I don't hunt but we have a huge buck the eats the apples off the tree in the yard all summer. Now he eats all the bushes and what is left of the plants. I told Butch to come over with his bow and he was more than welcome to it. I walked out of the garage the other night and was face to face with him and he is a massive deer, the ground shook we he ran off.
