when adjusting the trac is there a measurement that i should for or as tight as i can get it

no, you want it somewhat loose. Tight is bad. I think the general rool of thumb is a sag of 1/2 inch i think. Someone else will verify this for me.

Run it loose enough to ratchet then tighten the adjusters out 2 turns (when it stops racheting). Then it will correct.
