docrmk and someone else was explaining to me to remove the allen screw, you can pull the slide out an adjust the needle clip. if you look at arrow #1, you can only get to one allen, the other allen is under the arm. if you look at arrow #2, It makes me wonder how the slide is going to get past the rack lever??? do you remove the phillips screw and twist the arm up, look at the second image, I got a lot of oil in the air box. what am I missing here.

loosen screw #2 pull up and slip off eveything on #1. it is a real pain, everything gets knocked out of wack and you have to re-do everything. [sync] Mic's are a lot easier on the 600 edge's, pop the top, remove one screw and it's out.
have fun...... ???

Do not loosen screw #2 unless you want to resychronize the carbs.

Use something to hold the throttle thumb lever in wide-open position.
Remove carb top cover.
Use ball allen screwdriver at an angle to loosen slide screws (don't remove).
Slide will drop. (light Tap if needed)
Use long forceps to grab needle.
Change clip position (top being leanest i.e.. number 1 position).
Release throttle << CAREFULLY >>.
Install slide screws, and top cover.[B]
