I (once again... yes a diff sled) am interested in getting a 99 ZR 500, and its got roundslide carbs right?? Is it possible to put on TM (flatslides) on it without having to do any modifying??

I looked into it and there are a few modifications but not to bad required. I figured the specs from a 01 zr500 would be farely close. You have to bypass the throttle sensors for icing (can't remeber what there called). The trottle cable and choke cables have to get changed.

why would you want to???

i have heard the flat slides freeze up a lot easier than the round slides, and you wont get a power increase from changing the carbs alone. about the only gain you will get is a lighter throttle pull and thats for only what, atleast 400 bucks, i have no idea
