how often do you guys do a rebuild on your recoils in your sled...havent done mine since new...3 seasons..thinkin better do it this yr...rope lookin faded...just a ? of curiousity....-INDY SWRules

I only do it when it breaks, which has been once out of all my sleds.

I haven't replaced any parts in the coil other than the rope. Usually before every season i replace the rope unless it still looks good. This way i don't have to worry about cord breakin when out riding :D

When it breaks or the rope looks freyed.

I rebuilt mine twice last year :cussing:

Anyway it isn't the cord ,it the piece inside that have been getting shreaded

Anyway I am getting another recoil as mine has a bent shaft :cussing:


I HATE SKIDOO RECOILS

Never had problem with my Yamaha Poo recoils only my Doos

Besides that my STX is still a great sled. :D

This is my 4th season on the same sled and have'nt had to yet... KNOCK ON WOOD!
