i am buying this 2001 doo from a guyi know for 1900 bucks, 2400 miles on the sled, one of two pistons is melted down from what he said being water in the fuel, from what i've seen all it needs is two new pistons, but i figure while i'm at it, i can drop a big bore kit in it... i know a little bit about kimpex, but not the variety they offer for this model.... help me out
1900 bucks price reduced to 1700 actually (thats a freakin steal!)

The 800 series III engine doesn't have a ton of room to add much more bore, I thin you can go out to about 870cc, and that is it short of going to custom cylinders (Crank Shop)

The engine of that day was a 700 to begin with, and it was just stretched to get it up to 800. They really don't like to breathe all that well to begin with, much less addind displacement.

It is a good buy, and they are good runners. I would suggest going to stock bore and stroke, some light porting, and clutching they run real well
