Hey all, thanks in advance for your help.

I have a 2002 Ski Doo MXZ 600. I noticed this year that the heated visor doesn't work, i checked for voltage at the RCA connector, nothing. Traced the wires to the T shaped connector, no voltage there (yes, the engine was running). I checked continuity from the ground side of the connector to the engine block, that was good. So it has to be the power wire that is bad. I traced the wire back until it stated going down the steering column, at that point I lost it (I didn't want to take the whole thing apart, leaving for a trip tomorrow).

I checked the other accessory wires around the T connector, i don't know what they are all for but none of them had power.

Is there a fuse somewhere? What could be the problem? Does the power to these wires come from the voltage regulator?

Head lights work, high and low
Gauge lights work
Running light and brake light work
Not sure about the hand warmers, i'll check that when I get home.

Thanks,
Ryan

did you use a wire tester?

I used a digital multi meter to test voltage and to test continuity to ground on the black wire.

try cleaning up the grounds.

I figured out the problem if anyone is following this and would like to know the solution.

It was the voltage regulator. I originally thought the regulator was ok because the headlights, gauge lights, and grip warmers all worked. apperently the accessory wires that the shield were hooked to run on a different circuit than everything else.

Now you know, "and knowing is half the battle", Gi Joe.
(Sorry I had to... nerd!)
