Thought the Snow Train would make a great trip for me and the wife. Anybody know of one where we can get on the train at the Soo and ride it north then sled back to the Soo in, say, 4 or 5 days? Any and all info would be greatly appreciated as I know you have to book early to get a ride.

Thanks

Keith

Here would be a start. (http://sno-venture.com/www/sno-venture)

I know they offer many tours. It sounds like you want to doo it on your own though. The tour sounds great, no headaches trying to get the bugs worked out

Winterfreak...I have absolutely no problem utilizing a tour guide. Makes for less mistakes. Thanks for the info.

Idooski - Amy and I did this on New Year's 2000 (It's when I proposed to her), but just the train ride though. I looked into the sled thing, but it was very pricy. i think it was $150 one way to haul a sled. I figured a guy could drive to Wawa (142 miles) and unload there and ride up to the other destinations, especially if you had 2 or more sleds. Remember, them Ont permits ain't cheap either.

Someone once said that the snowtrain trip was a disaster for them because several people brought their screami'n brats along.
Hehe I would have thrown the brats off the train
