Well it is raining hard & looks like it is going to do this all day. We have lost alot of snow in the last couple of days. Now that it is pouring rain most of it will be gone :bash:
I was planning on doing a trip next weekend. Not sure on how far north this rain is going but it doesn't look good. Well I better have a good look at the trailer to see if it is ready for a long haul.

Still lots of snow left here north of Parry Sound although it is wet, mushy and compacted. Supposed to flash freeze tonight so all is not lost and hopefully the frost will set well in the moistened ground.

Saw a big batch of rain heading towards my stomping ground last night - I have not called anyone yet to see what it did to the snowpack... It was supposed to convert over to snow at some point but I don't know when - I didn't want to look.

Hopefully there will be something left - I am heading up for Christmas with the relatives on Wed...

Keep your fingers crossed - there is a lot of winter left!

It's been raining on and off and the snow is all gone here in SE Michigan. I'm hoping it snows around Christmas, I was planning to go up somewhere then.

Just started pi$$ing here too ! I hope the conditions aren't too icy after this and the ATVs stay off the trails till they set up again.

ATV's are allowed on the trails in winter there? not here thank God.. All rain here in PA. too... very sad

Not allowed here also but that doesn't seem to stop them. The problem is that there are two trails, one sled and one ATV, sometimes parallel and they merge at bridges and steep inclines. Since the ATV trails are usually two deep ruts worn into the snow, the ATV riders "accidentally" end up on the nicely packed sled trails. The quad racers seem to be the biggest presence on the sled trails because their wider track in the rear doesn't fit well in the narrower ATV trails. The other problem being that the competition Quads don have running lights. I'm not trying to start any confrontation here, I am just stating facts.

rode friday night for the first time here. rain is pretty much wiping things out here. went by a trail crossing today and still white ,so if it freezes up maybe all won't be lost. will need more snow though. atv's and 4wd's here. ran into one friday night that had ripped up the trail and was in the ditch with a broken axle.another stuck right in the middle of the trail. darn near ran into that one.

Pouring out this am (wife warned me not to look outside). However it did stop about 11am and there is still some decent wet snow on the ground. Can only hope the temps drop like they are suppose to and it starts snowing (like it is suppose to).

I'm down here in District 4

Well it stopped raining a couple of hours ago. I was glad to see that there is still snow & a base on the trails. I wanted to go for a ride yesterday so bad, but the OFSC was asking for people to stay off the trails this weekend. So I ripped around the yard a couple of times to make myself feel better. Not feeling much better, small yard :lookaround:
I was in Orillia last minute shopping & had a peek at the trail there. They still look in good shape & with the temps dropping the trail will have a hard base. Thinner but at least there is still one. I hope everyone has studs for Ontario riding because you are going to need them.
Hey cory9 How is the trails holding up. Looks like you might have some snowsqualls in your area. Thinking of heading up that way next weekend :D

It froze up here and fast. Snow is coming down but it's blowing like a banshee. What snow there was is rock hard and the snow coming down doesn't seem to settle.

It's gonna be a rough ride til the winds die down and it snows.

We lost lots of snow this weekend also but it got real cold last night the trails looked ok from what I could see near the roads. I think the trails will be ok by the weekend we are supposed to get some snow over the next few days and the colder temps will make the trails very hard.

What's it looking like in Parry Sound now. A buddy texted me to say we lost lots of snow last night, but it froze back up and they got a few inches of snow. Haoping for cold temps, and then a dumping of snow! I'm haeded up on the 27th. :)
