We are building some "mini buggies" this winter with sled motors and my uncle was at a job site and picked up a 1980 Eltigre 6000 twin cylinder twin carb sled (I am told its a 500cc engine but not sure myself). He got it because it was liquid cooled and thought that would make it a good canidate. He is not real mechanical and did not notice (DOH!) that the thing has low compression in one cylinder. I have never seen a sled like this run so I am not sure this is worth putting a rebuild into to be able to use the motor? Or just sell it for whatever and find a newer bigger motor like the rest of us are using?? (My uncle is not a power freak. He wants enough power to climb the bigger hills without straining and he does not like major speed so we can gear his unit down without issues. Any one who can lend me thier expieriences with this sled is appreciated! Thanx Bill
