Looked like we were going to get some snow from Barrie to Parry Sound. I don't think it happened :bash: If anything we lost a little snow last night. I like to get out for a ride but I don't want drive all over the place looking for some good trails.

We got about 6 inches around here last night just depends on how far you wanna drive. Might wanna check into the OFSC and check district 11 and see where and what trails are open.

I just checked out the trail conditions for our area & they still list them as closed. Must be the warm temps. I think the groomer was out on Friday. I was thinking of heading towards Port Sydney but Huntsville trails are closed. I was hoping to leave from here & go to Fenelon Falls but the trail is closed. Looks like trails in Fenelon Falls are open so I think I will load up the sled & head up on Sunday.

Still closed in your area? Weird unless they're waiting for the water to freeze up. AFAIK the trails are open down here in district 4 but "limited".

Went out in the Barrie today with the wife did aprox 140km. the trails were good to poor in a few sections. For the most part they were fairly smooth and fast you just have to be on the lookout for icy spots. The trails are holding up well with the warmer weather we have had in the past week.

Trails were still closed this morning for Heart of Ontario so loaded up the sled & headed for Fenelon Falls. Rode the rail line from Fenelon to Haliburton, Rough but had lots of snow. Lots of snow in Haliburton just needs tobe groomed. The hydro line was bad lots of snow but rough. On my way back to town I dropped a cyl. It reminded me of a prev break down & my sled was acting the same way. Did a compression test when I got home, 150 on one cyl & 0 on the other. Pulled the top end apart to find that the piston ring has turned & broke. This :bash: is :bash: now :bash: the :bash: second :bash: time :bash: this :bash: has :bash: happened :bash:
Anyways if you are looking for a place to ride there is lots of snow in Haliburton. Watch out for wash outs
