The French/Pickerel River bridges is a scenic area with some nice trails.
I ride on the French River Snow Devils trails out of the Owls Nest Lodge near Alban and it has a lot of great day rides.
Powder lines and great trails are always waiting for me up that way.
North to Wolf Mountain or Timagami, South to the Bridges, East to Restoule or Lake Nippissing and West towards the North channel of Georgian Bay. All good spots and a day ride away.
davidmaynard 12-29-2007, 04:44 PM Vermont (VAST) has got some great trails!, especially up where I am, Richford Mountain and Hazens Notch

Big Springs State Park; north through the marshes; over to the ice caves in Chattam; up to the sculptures by Marquette, south through the minining country in Negaunee and Ishpeming, over to Gwinn by the old Air Force base; back through some of the 3000 miles of forrest roads stopping by Kilpecker Creek and then out on Grand Island in Munising. Ya, across the ice!
You could also swing by the not so famous Stuben air port where in WWII the British bomber landed with big problems.

Now that sounds like a lots of miles making good trip.. Trying to get some funding from UPTRA for UP tour. If you go to snowtrailstv.com we did a couple of shows #109.110 about riding around Grand Island and out to the base of Miners Castle into the limestone caves. Very impressive scenery around the Island. Watched the sun set from Grand Island riding back to coast in the dark to a cold one at Foggy's. The GPS worked great for finding our landing spot on shore.

Hey Mike, I rode with you to the Abitibi Canyon a couple of years ago ... hopefully I can join you for a portion of the RAP tour. I've done it a few times, and with the length of time you've got, you can take in ALOT of the side trails. I'll PM you as the dates get closer.
