I have not been to Timmins in over 10yrs. Can anyone recommend where to stay when I'm up there at the end of January for a 5 day sled trip.

We have stayed at the Comfort Inn. Fuel is just down the road, on the same side as the trail. We get a reservation and usually ask for rooms on the main floor so that we can lock our sleds together just outside of our room. They served a continental breakfast too which gave us an early start in the morning. We ordered in pizza from Toppers Pizza which was very good and fast service too.

Enjoy Timmins.

P.S. Say Hi to Shania for me, if you happen to run into her.

We stay @ the Travelodge in the west end (indoor hut tub). I have heard of sledders staying @ the Comfort & Super 8 on the east side.

We usually gas up @ the Esso truck stop before heading to the motel. There's a East Side Mario's next door & a short walk to a seafood restaurant (The Fishbowl).

If you want to blow the budget there's Cedar Meadows Resort too. Also on the west end is the Ho Jo (outdoor hot tub).

All phone #s are 705 area code.

Booked a room at Cedar Meadows. I thought $99.00/night wasn't overly high and I have read good reports about this resort. Now to just get over this mild spell. Thanks for the info.
