i don't have the 800x in my possession yet, but when i get it, (engine rebuild aside) i want to get a skid plate, seat cover, J hooks, a snoskinz snowmobile cover, and possible a pipe and a can......along with front shock covers, do the shocks have to be removed for the covers to go on? or are they velcro or something like that?

What do you guys think about the list of stuff i plan on getting for the X?

thanks

This sled has a melted piston, hole is right beneath the ring on the exhuast side i'm pretty sure, owner states that water caused the burn down.... owner says the crank is fine and the cylinder is scratched a little bit..... does a scratch doom me for using it? or will it not hurt anything, b/c if anything i'll just go get some remaned cyls... and pick up some OEM pistons.... The biggest problem i'm having with this is thinking about what i need, because i don't want to have the engine rebuilt and know that the problem will happen again.......

just pisses me off like you wouldn't know.

pics of the piston and cylinder would help there. shock covers yep velcro. I do not have a trailer cover just a cheap cover for outside ,to keep the snow off at night. watch the jhooks some pinch wiring inside the bars. bellypan protection is a must IMHO, I prefer the holeshot product.

what are the chances that the crank will need isoflex grease? owner says it has no crank damage, but the jugs are sitting off to the side in the shop and there is a shop rag covering the pistons in the sled.....
