:doh: Hi, I have a 1989 Formula MX 462 LC. I bought it with a newly rebuilt motor with not even 2 hours on it. I wanted to know approx. how long it takes to break the motor in. It came with "rich" oil and i'm not sure how long i should keep that in there until i should switch to the better "performance" oils.

I also have no information or any specs, or info. on my sled. If anybody has ANY information plz tell me. Does anybody know how fast this thing will go? One guy told me more than 150km/h. But i dont know so any information would be greatly appreciated.

We had 5 MXs in our group in the early 90s,a 85 MX,88 MX LT,2 89 MXs and a 91 MX

Expect 85mph average

They were the best on gas too :D


Check the front arm on the rear suspension near the rails,they tend to braek there and are easily welded :D


Check the track guides if you don't have the introverted sprokets

The guys that had the MXs all ran Bombardier oil or Castrol
