A huge hole has opened up out in the marsh. Guess it swollowed up two sleds. The water was neck deep!! Last report the sleds are still underwater. They have closed the trail and put ribbons across the trail from both ends.
Evidentally during the thaw; then after the snow; it never froze up good and was camofauged very well.

We have a place in Curtis and rode there from the 27th to the 30th. There was some open water on the South trails, but noting over boot deep that we hit. I was told they closed part of the trail to keep renters from tearing up the sleds???

I was told a fellow was waist deep in muddy water, the week before we got there.

Last week locals ran through there and it was ok. They cleared some trees.

They must have been off trail or we got very very lucky. Either way, open water will eventually win!!
