I have a question about a 94 580 EXT the EFI model. I start the machine and it idles great but when I give it gas it cuts the power. I can pump the gas a little and it revs a little but then cuts the power.
I am almost positive it is electrical but not 100%
Anyone else had this problem or know how to resolve it??? ANY advice would be appreciated as ITS SNOW TIME!!!

Try the old standby. Disconnect or bypass the kill switch. They used to provide a kill switch bypass plug in the tool kit, I think.

There is a little switch on the throttle block that comes out when you give the sled gas, it's designed to kill the motor if the throttle cable stick and you release the throttle handle. Make sure the little button comes out when you give it gas or it will just die. this used to happen all the time on a jag I had, the little button would freeze in. The above poster is correct too, as the button is connected to the kill switch, but to get it to function properly and safely, you need to free it up.
