does anybody know what you could do to a 500 rotary valve rave valve twin for more hp and torque , shaved the head ? porting? ???

Hi cannot help you with your problem have big one of my own.My 500 had a meltdown,do you known torque specs for crankbolts,pots&head. Thanks.

The problem with 500's, is that there are not alot of aftermarket parts for that size engine. When you start messing around porting and shaving the head, dependability goes down. I would either buy a clutch kit from EPI or Goodwin, get the power you have to the track better. You could also save your money( porting, shaving head, clutch kit), and buy a 600,700,800.
