Well me and the brother decided late Thursday night to make a trip somewhere Friday before the snow melted. He was home for college and loves to ride, and I wanted to get some miles on the sleds and try the new to me GTX out before me and the wife went on our little trip. We put on about 180 miles I am guessing. Forgot to check mileage before we left. Got lost a little bit too. Keep telling the wife that I need a GPS, guess I just need to go missing for a while, on second thought, maybe thats what she wants. Anyhow, for the most part, conditions werent too bad. Some of the roads had been plowed somewhat and had some gravel, some water spots and 2 trees that we had to get around. Only problem with sleds was left hand warmer on GTX quit, and the left one that I replaced on the MXZ isnt working either. Probably didnt get a good connection on the MXZ. We had a good time!! Was nice to get out and get some mileage!!

Now just got to wait and get some more snow so that I can go back up and ride with my local tour guide (aka tunedbyear) so that I dont get lost again!! :cool:

We were running north of you, in New York came into Pa. for a while but turned around at Wiilows. Maybe we can set up S.W. ride in ANF with you and guide tunedbyear and who ever wanted to ride??? :unsure:

We had actually started heading up to NY. I got messed up and got on the wrong Trail 1. We had gone past Westline and were half way up to NY. Had asked 2 different people if we were going correctly. First one wasnt sure. Second was a guy checking the gas wells, he said yes we are heading to Kinzoo, which is where I was wanting to go. Took a while to find a road # that showed up on the map. Jake (tunedbyear) had told me a while ago about people doing this and there I went and did it.

Tunedbyear has been trying for a couple years to get a group of us together, but it never happens. Usually to hard to plan for snow. It would be cool to have our own little SW ride here in PA. I'd like to make the MI one sometime but dont have enough vacation time.

Snow in New York was great, towards Willows getting thin thats why we turned around. Would love to get a ride together if Mother Nature would help out.All together we got about 100 miles on, which gave me time to get my sled dailed in, now I can't wait to ride more.

Hey Greg, i didn't know you were up by Westline. That town has, what 20 houses in the whole town? My grandfather's camp is one of them. Right across from the bar.

I had a couple buddies riding up there on the same days. I didn't want to call off work so i didn't go. I called Forrest Recreation to get a trail report for saturday and they said there were some sleds out but the trails were beat. He said the trails were great when it first snowed.

On saturday i ended up driving to mayville, ny to renew my registration. I didn't take my sled because the temps were in the mid 30s and rain was moving in. It was killing me to be up there without a sled and seeing everyone else on theirs.

lol this is the first time i'd seen this thread and my name is all over it.xcr young grass hopper you weren't paying attention were you? going to fast for ya ? j/k lol as far as a s/w ride here i'd go for it. as mentioned weather. the way it's been here it comes we ride everything else put on hold.
