I'm going to start out by knocking on wood!!

I bought a 98 Mach Z in near MINT condition!! It has a complete top end rebuild. All new cylinders. The guy who sold it to me gave me a service sheet from the dealer on the sled. total cost of the work was almost 1500. It is in great Shape, has reverse. It starts 2nd pull everytime.
I have ridden around with the sled and it rides fine, runs great. It still has over top pipes with dyno ports.


It does however still have some wiring issued with the head light, the fuel gauge, and left hand warmer.

What can I do about these electrical problems? I know they have a bad rep with electrical issues but I don't think these were part of it.

What do you mean does the light work and does the hand warmer work at all or just not get hot? my hand warmers on high don,t get good and hot unless I have been riding a good ways. 1998 670

you know.... when i swapped out the bars on my 98, i found quite a few wires that had the casing worn right though to the bare wire. Must have been rubbing on the steering stem. Maybe you have a chance of finding the same on your 98. Wasn't a hard fix, but I'm willing to bet it was shorting on the stem before I found it. The guy told me it had a few bugs when i got it.

Not much snow at all. There is some on the trails from being packed down but I wouldnt try to ride! It supposed to get cold again this weekend and next week. let's hope it snows again!
