Hi,
A group of us plans on going up north mid next week as we had a big melt in Ottawa. Wondering how far up we have to go before we hit some good snow conditions. We were thinking around Iroquois Falls of Cochrane.
Thanks

My advice would be to see if you could reschedule your vacation until the trails are open and in good shape. We have found in past years that you can never count on the trail conditions and we book our trips 'last minute'; waiting until we know the conditions are good.
Yes, I hope that it cools off soon and the trails are open but Mother Nature has a mind of her own. The north will need at least a week of cold temperatures to freeze up the soft spots and get the much needed snow for grooming.
Good Luck and enjoy your trip.

We have lots of snow here had at least a foot since the melt down. Was out on the trails yesterday and other than needing grooming they are in good shape.Trail A103 to the canyon isn't open yet but that will happen shortly the club started up toward there last week but the engine went out of the groomer. If you need more info give me a call 1-888-494-5344.

Rod, when was that pic taken?
This cold weather in the forecast should tighten things up.
I saw on the MCTV news tonight about a sled accident just west of Timmins. Looked like a lot of snow on the ground there. Driver lost control & put the sled over an embankment. He & passenger were taken to hospital for treatment. The female passenger was released afterwards. Driver still in hospital.
