 I have a 2001 MXZ Adrenaline the rear end of the sled on groomed trails is all over the place. Very dangerous to ride.

I have just studded the machine with 144 picks. I have tried to make some adjustments myself. like replace the 8" carbide to 6" reduce the tension on the front springs from 5 to 2.5 and adjust the front track shock up a couple of notches. I way 180 lbs and have not ridden the machine since I made thes adjustment. Am I going in the right directions?

It also will not hook up even with the studs it will sit and spin. I have 1998 MXZ 583 that my son rides that will just launch out of the gate and pulling the skis off the ground 8" with out stud. I want mine to do that.

Please help

Did you just get this sled, or has it always been like that. I would check to make sure your rear spring is set for your weight and how your straps are set. You will want a little slack to get some weight transfer. Lastly, your coupling block can be adjusted for more transfer if it has not already been done.

I have changed the strap all the way out. and move the coupling block so I get the most transfer. The person that owned before me was about 300 lbs. I think he needed all of weight on the frontend that he could get. I think once I soften the front springs and adjust the track shock up a little it should help. Not for sure though, that is why I sent out the question

good luck finding the transfer the old sc-10/acm had. I don't think you can. find the settings for the weight you are and start from there. did the heavy guy change the rear springs out for higher rate ones?

when you spike the brake does the sled want to go sideways?
