Hey guys I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the temp light flashing on the '02 Viper? It will flash a few times when I stop then wait a about 10 seconds and come back on and flash again. Soon as I take off its goes off and stays off. I have heard of wires going bad behind the airbox? The sled does not seem to be overheating. NO other lights are flashing.

3000 miles
great shape
Its been really really cold out when It has done it

K now the fuel gauge is up and down so I am guessing on the frayed wire. So I have looked everywhere and found nothing.

Anything guys?

Well my 1999 SRX had the SAME problem. In addition to my tach was shutting off. Temp light was scaring my so I replaced the temp sensor and thermostat and that took care of everything. I also checked the antifreeze, I bought a tester at a local hardware store and it will tell you if your antifreeze is to strong or to weak. Hope this helps even though you have a different engine block than my srx. Try this webpage for OEM parts. http://www.yamahaaccy.com/parts.aspx
