I have a 2004 rev 600 HO SDI. I went trout fishing last weekend and I had to siphin gas out of my truck which was 87 octane. I know that 91 is recommended. It ran like crap after that. Brought it home and took the gas out and put 91 octane non oxy gas in like I always do. I aslo dumped in some sea foam and some octane booster in the new gas. Ran fine for a while now went to go for a ride and it starts fine and ran good for 30 seconds and then went down to one cylinder again. I checked compression and it is 120 pounds on each cylinder. Any ideas what is wrong. I thought water in the gas so I put some isopropal in it and it still does it. Thanks for reading.

i forgot to say that every time I changed the plugs it would run fine for a while. But I went through 8 plugs so far and they are $8 a piece. BR9ECS plugs. It would only run on one cylinder tonight and so I changed the plugs one more time and ran it. But I know that when I go start it tomorrow that it will do it again. Does it sound like a gas problem?

yup. gas line anti-freeze and if it continues after that then look for air leaks.

The 04 SDI's had an issue with the MPEM and it control over the injection. You need to get it to a dealer and see if the remap upgrade has been done. This wasnt a recall but a service bulletin sent to the dealers

Would this apply to a 2004 800 SDI?....sounds identical to a probelm that a friend is having....Compression is excellent and It runs great after 80 kms/h .....If I leave it idle it bogs down to one cylinder and eventually dies off.....

try using the br8ecs plugs-my 04 600sdi had a remap done when new[fouled plugs like crazy]-after a couple seasons it was idling rough again-was told to switch to the br8ecs'& its been fine ever since[the 06-08 run the8ecs]-also run rainy lake[fort frances]
